On January 1, I recorded a live 35-minute video New Year’s meditation focused on supporting participants to set an intention for what’s next for them (short or long term) and worked with gently releasing what could get in the way of staying on track with that intention.
I have edited my voice hijacking (love that live video!) and trimmed the beginning announcements. For those of you who have listened to it – either live or later – I appreciate the feedback!
You are welcome to listen to it as often as you like.
I encourage you to consider these sentiments below, not only while doing the meditation, but anytime you are focused on a new intention or a new goal.
- Use your breath to imagine bringing space to tight places in the body and also bringing the breath to places where you have “stories” or beliefs that feel tight and restricting.
- Notice how certain emotions – when you stay with them – make the body feel tense. Get curious about what it would be like to have more space around that emotion. There’s nothing wrong with the emotion – it’s good for us to keep them moving. Play with this idea in your imagination. What if being stuck wasn’t true?
- Keep intentions broad whenever possible. Notice where ego or fear can narrow your intentions: This can look like resistance, judgment, resentment, etc.
- Focusing ATTENTION – ENERGIZES. Adding a broad INTENTION – ORGANIZES that ENERGY.
What if it were true that there were Unlimited Possibilities for you in the future?
Get comfortable, take 35 minutes, and listen to this meditation.
