Erin Tracy will be leading instruction in Tai Chi Chu’an form (Pangu Tai Chi) March 28 for eight Thursday nights 6:30-7:30 at Open Door Yoga (in AIR CONDITIONED SPACE even though it’s a Hot Yoga Studio). The first date is March 28.
We aren’t doing anything difficult or using martial applications in this class. Regular Tai Chi practice strengthens and protects the joints – working gently with the ligaments, tendons, and muscles. The added benefit of this form, Returning Form Tai Chi, is the support for your organs as well. You should feel awesome after a class session! We will take it easy in this class; it will not be intense or require a lot of endurance. However, it is best to already have a regular movement routine (like walking or gardening) since we will be on our feet for 45-60 minutes. Of course, you may sit as needed. Please see contact Erin for more information. TO REGISTER: go to OPEN DOOR YOGA’s website.
PLEASE NOTE: Erin has been studying Tai Chi with Vincent Chu and his students. She will be introducing the Level I Pangu Tai Chi (Returning Form Tai Chi Chu’an). It is very beneficial to take this class multiple times to get the fine tuning and to help internalize the sequence. Even if you are only interested in the hour long class, the benefits will be noted.
