Now that Labor Day has come and gone, welcome the shift that comes with the calendar changing. Whether you are involved in the whole back to school hoopla or you are just acknowledging the shift into autumn and autumn activities, September is a great time to revisit and reassess goals and desires for your health, relationships, well-being, and really all aspects of your life.
With the all the external shifts in our community and culture, our routines, and in the weather as summer draws to a close, where can we choose to focus on any small internal shift that will lead to calm contentment with less ego, less inner sabotage, less need to control?
Do you desire a shift at the core level?
Is there some health goal that continues to allude you even though you have tried many approaches? Does anxiety affect your day to day living and hamper your enjoyment of the present moment?
Every week (Sunday night or Monday morning), I check in with my intentions, my to do list, my big picture items to help me stay focused on what I have determined is really foundational in my life. Did I drop any balls last week? Probably, so I pick up where I left off and keep going.
Perhaps you have an area of your life where you just don’t have the energy to pick up the proverbial dropped ball. That can happen. No reserves even though you have the desire to shift the energy in your life, sometimes you can’t muster the UMPH to make it so.
